Annual Prizegiving - July 2008

The evening began with the Flames getting their league runners-up trophies

and Nick being named Coach of the Year

Matt, Manu and Bob collected the

Fair Play Trophy

Paul, Manu and Lisa were voted Defensive Players of the Year

The Dunk Trophy had Davie's

name on it ...

... but he'll only get it when he actually

dunks in a game!

Faith looked happy to be the highest average scorer,
while Charlie and Rob got awards for doing what they do best: scoring 3 pointers and fouling out (no prizes for guessing which).
Anna showed the best form after making a baby and ended up with the highest winning percentage.

In the free throw department, Nick was the best
and Joe was the most improved,
but Davie missed the most
and Lorraine wished she'd never bothered.

Ian gives advice to the next generation

... then gets an award from

another old-timer.

Tim still believes that the coach shouldn't have to do what everyone else does,
and Simon is still the most likely to lose it!
The MVPs were Paul,
Simon,
James
and Faith, who was also the League's MVP.

David, aka Mr Dependable.
Rebecca couldn't get out of winning the Most Excuses for Missing Training Award.
Farris and Ben were the Most Improved Players.

And even some of the parents

got in on the act.

Gill got the Sue Longbottom Award for her contributions to the Ladies club,
Tim got the Most Improved Ref in the League award,

he unbeaten Saints Under 12s got the

Folkestone Team of The Year award,

and Ian got a pint.

And where would we be without the refs,
the committee,
the table officials,
and Mike?

Annual Prizegiving - June 2006

In 2005/6 the B team came runners up in the Adams Plate,

but more importantly, Manu's cheesecake skills were finally recognised.

It's sad when you win something for your website rather than your basketball!

Rob got the votes for Defensive MVP.

Paul took the A Team Club Award, while

Sig got to show off his new tie when he

shared the B Team Award with Ross.

Charlie won the Most Improved Player ...the Club Junior MVP ...and the CVL MVP (just as well there wasn't a trophy for best dressed or he'd have needed a bigger cabinet).

The Under 16s (and Charlie again) with their East Kent CVL winner's trophies.

Lou gets a well deserved Club Award ...

and Mark and Lou get all emotional.

Annual Prizegiving - Sept 05

In 2004/5, Rob was the Most Consistently Injured,

but Ollie's broken finger won

the Best Injury award.

Ian was far too polite ...
not a problem that the winner of the Most Likely To Complain To The Ref award had.

Adam was happy with his prize for missing all those free throws...
but all Ross got was a certificate.
Rob was the Most Improved Player, but can he win it again next year??
Ian finally discovers the benefit of being a ref.

The captains get trophies for being, well, captains.
Davie isn't sure whether to be pleased with the Most Fouls Committed award.

Sig and Paul, voted Junior

and Senior MVPs.

Lou's thank you gift (the flowers, not Mark).

Dave and Davie, Defensive MVPs.
Mark, the Player's Player for 04/05.
